DescriptionI'm RJ :) I started writing poems in kindergarten, composed my first piano piece with lyrics in first grade, and haven't stopped since. I'm pretty bad at understanding real life in real time, so music is how I figure pretty much everything out. My music is like 33% Appalachian folk, 33% modern southern gothic, and 33% coastal indie vibes. For example, if my discography had a Daylist playlist, it could be called something like: 1) Banjo induced spiritual crisis near a salt marsh 2) Cried in a field, drove to the coast, and wrote a song 3) Accidentally summoned a ghost while tuning my mandolin
Dreams & AmbitionsI really want to expand on this whole ghostfolk+haintpop+tidecore thing I've gotten myself into.

Trophy, Girl Written by: RJ I was in the deep end but you Still left me to drown Cast my face in metal so you’d Never see me frown Forged in fire and tough as iron and Never slowing down You said Go and get your trophies girl Sold my soul for fancy jobs and healthy bank accounts Nothing else I’d ever done could Make you just as proud I was born with hair of gold So then I dyed it brown When you said Look at all those trophies, girl You’re nothing but my trophy, girl
